Before Your Visit
We know you are going to love your day at the farm and we are excited for your visit! Check out these helpful answers to some of our most commonly asked questions, useful tips for a great outing, and information about how we operate.
Parking & Admission
Parking at Downey’s is FREE so take advantage of our 3 parking lots! Be sure not to park on the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed.
After you arrive, please have your tickets ready on your device to scan in to the farm. You won’t need a ticket to enter the farm market, but admission is required for access to our Farmyard Play area which includes 30+ activities.
Booking Your Tickets
Downey’s Farm can get pretty busy during our peak seasons and that is why we have moved to online ticketing only.
All tickets must be purchased in advance online before your visit. This is to ensure we have space for everyone coming to the farm!
Food at the Farm
The farm has great food and a wide variety to help with pickier palettes! Stop by our Bakery Lunch Counter (Open Daily) or Poppa John’s Fry Truck (May-August).
We also have several seasonal food locations that are open during our annual Pumpkinfest!
Outside food is not permitted.
Weather & Accessibility
We are a real working farm and sometimes with heavy rain the farm grounds can become muddy. Please wear appropriate apparel such as rain boots or a raincoat.
Downey’s is wheelchair accessible with our terrain being primarily grass, gravel, and asphalt. Our wagons are equipped with ramps and some portable washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
However, if there has been significant rain the play area will be muddy and not ideal for wheelchairs.
Service Animals & Pets
We love your pets but with so many kiddos and farm animals around, please leave all your animal friends at home.
We also do not want to see any animals left unattended in hot vehicles. Please leave your pets at home or with a friend/family member.
Service Dogs are welcome, but MUST be wearing proper vest at all times for entry.
Washrooms
All of this fun on the farm is sure to be exciting and when you gotta go, we got you covered!
Our farm has several portable washrooms for your convenience including our wheelchair accessible washrooms.
